The New South Family
Jackson Dodd, owner and Vice President of New South Roofing, Inc., founded the company in 2016 alongside partner, Terrill Parham. Their vision was to start a steep slope roofing division that focused on high end quality work and top-notch customer service.
Jackson started in the construction business at an early age working for his dad, Desmond Dodd. Even as a small child he noticed the importance of having a strong work ethic, how to develop an honorable reputation, and how to be a leader in the industry. Jackson attributes a lot of his success to his dad and has a great deal of respect for him. During his high school years, Jackson recruited a few friends on the weekends to help him roof houses for extra money. After graduating, Jackson went to work for New South Systems, a commercial low slope roofing company, and eventually worked his way up to Director of Operations. During his tenure, he oversaw a variety of projects all over the Southeast that included small retail buildings, hospitals, military bases, car dealerships, and shopping malls. Although he enjoyed his work and gained a great deal of experience from it, his desire was to work more with people and families in the Northwest Florida and South Georgia regions and that is what led to the founding of New South Roofing.
Jackson married his wife, Jessie Dodd, in 2013 and they have three kids—Anniston, Harrison, and Brooklyn.
